Death By Stereo

Hardcore aus Orange County, USA

When Death By Stereo singer, Efrem Schultz, was asked recently to summarize the core principles of his band in a few choice words, Schulz adamantly declared: “Never give up. Never give in.” True to his words, it is this very “us vs. them” philosophy and unwavering drive to persevere at all costs that has defined Death By Stereo since their inception in 1996.

Despite constant tumultuous line up changes throughout their career, Death By Stereo has managed to feverishly blur the lines between metal, hardcore, and punk rock on four full length studio recordings, three 7-inches, and nine compilations and soundtracks in addition to touring the US and the world over with such reputable names as AFI, Thursday, Strung Out, and Rise Against as well as a stint on the Vans Warped Tour. Their originality, integrity, and grueling work ethic coupled with a penchant for blending striking melody with unbridled aggression did not go unnoticed for long as Epitaph Records (one of the biggest punk-rock labels in the world) signed the group in 2000 and released their last three full length albums.
